This is Daamru. He fell into hot tar and got deeply stuck. He was brought to our shelter for help. When he was brought to us, he couldn't move his body one bit. The only part that had any movement were his eyes, which were terrified and told us he was in deep discomfort and pain. Volunteers were called in. Liters of oil was bought. And the work began. Together with ACT staff, we scrubbed and massaged Daamru for hours. We cut off his hair where we could. Tar was removed in small chunks, little by little. The pooch went through the entire ordeal patiently. In between, we gave him some milk. We fed him chicken. Luckily he ate well so no drips were needed to be given. He was given rest in between. After sitting through this for 2 days, Daamru was finally tar free! We gave him a medicated bath, some food and rest. After a thorough medical checkup and treatment for his bruises, he was released back where we had originally found him.
