A stray abandoned calf was injured in Panambur on June 24th of this year and was rescued and brought to the shelter by Animal Care Trust. It was a classic hit and run case. Someone ran over the calf with their vehicle and she got badly hit, limping and unable to walk. At the shelter, she received emergency care and has been recuperating ever since. We named her Gauri. While Gauri's bandages are changed a few times a week, she rests at the shelter and has even made friends with a resident cat. This video captures a small part of her day, as our ACT caregivers work diligently to get her better and to heal.
